What Are Essential Oils?

Essential oils can lift the mood, calm the senses, and elicit powerful emotional responses. The uses of essential oils goes well beyond their fragrant appeal.
Essential oils can be used aromatically. You can breathe them in or diffuse them to kill germs in the air, open airways and affect mood, including depression.

Why doTerra?

I decided to start this blog so that I can share with others all the amazing things I've recently discovered about doTerra essential oils. At the end of March 2012 I was invited to a class about essential oils. I had no idea what I was in for. My daughter had some nasty warts on her hand. Nine of them to be exact and I had heard that essential oils could get rid of them. I was skeptical. They gave me a list of oils that work for warts and so I decided to give it a try. I bought a kit with 10 different oils so I would have the oils I needed and so I could experiment with them a little. My daughter applied Oregano, Melaleuca, On Guard and Frankincense twice a day to one wart on each hand and kept them covered with a bandage. After 3 weeks we could tell they were going away and after 6 weeks they were gone. I'm not just saying those 2 were gone, they were all gone! The oils killed the virus from the inside and helped her body heal itself. That's when I knew these essential oils really work. These things are powerful. They are 50-70 times more powerful than herbs.

So why use oils instead of something like compound W? My daughter would have nothing to do with Compound W. She didn't like it eating away her skin. Essential oils are natural and don't eat away at your skin or cause other side effects.
